A 34-year-old man was killed after his vehicle crossed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 in Seminole County and crashed into a tree before overturning.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place around midnight on Friday, September 2. The man, who was from South Daytona, was driving a 1995 Honda Civic eastbound on I-4 in the area of mile marker 97.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled onto the inside shoulder, overcorrected, and crossed the eastbound lanes of I-4. The Honda ran off the roadway and collided with a tree before overturning.
The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.
