25-year-old man identified as homicide victim in Orlando shooting

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has identified a 25-year-old man that was shot and killed after a fight broke out in a west Orlando parking lot.

On Monday, October 3, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a parking lot in the 6200 block of West Colonial Drive around 4:18 a.m. after receiving calls regarding shots fired.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered 25-year-old Guerson Andy Merisier suffering from gunshot wounds.

Merisier was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Authorities say that information gathered at the scene indicated there was a large fight that was followed by gunfire.
