A local wine shop and eatery was forced to temporarily close its doors after a health inspector cited multiple code violations during a recent visit, including the presence of rodents.
According to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Elusive Grape, which is located at 129 N Woodland Boulevard in DeLand, was forced to close on Tuesday, October 18, after a health inspector cited four health code violations.
The sole high priority violation was issued for rodent activity, as evidenced by at least 18 rodent droppings found in various parts of the food storage areas of the restaurant.
The business was reinspected the following day, Wednesday, October 19, and was permitted to reopen after no violations were found.
