A 27-year-old woman was killed after her vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle traveling the wrong direction on Interstate 4.
The fatal accident took place at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 6, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 36-year-old Sanford man was driving a 2017 Jeep Renegade eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-4, near mile marker 87, when his vehicle crashed head-on with a 2008 Volkswagen EOS being driven by a 27-year-old Deltona woman.
After the vehicles collided, they struck a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro being driven by a 27-year-old Altamonte Springs man.
The drivers of the Jeep and Volkswagen were both transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. According to the report, the driver of the Jeep received serious injuries, while the 27-year-old Deltona woman was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver of the Camaro was not transported to the hospital and remained on the scene.
