Art contest for Orange County students ‘Doing Small Things in a Great Way’

Submissions for a new art contest that celebrates “Doing Small Things in a Great Way” are now being accepted from all students in Orange County.

Orange County Public School System students from kindergarten to 12th grade are encouraged to participate in the Authentic, Remarkable, & Talented Contest as part of the county’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Initiative.

The theme of the contest is to show how students “do small things in a great way” in any art form including drawing, photography, painting, and sculpture.

First, second, and third place winners will be chosen from elementary, middle, and high school levels. Contest winners will be recognized and awarded prizes in January 2023.

Submissions will be accepted through Friday, December 16, at 5 p.m.

To make a submission for the contest, or to read more about the criteria for submission, email Ronda Robinson (ronda.robinson@ocfl.net) or Christy Garton (christy.garton@ocps.net).
