Orange County firefighters responded to and extinguished two separate house fires on opposite sides of Orlando yesterday evening.
On Wednesday, Orange County Fire Rescue units responded to the 400 block of Elkwood Lane in east Orlando after reports of a residential fire.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire within minutes and no injuries were reported. Officials contacted the local Red Cross to provide assistance for three displaced adults.
In a separate incident last night, OCFR crews responded to a heavy fire at a residence on the 500 block of Normandale Avenue.
The home was abandoned and the fire was put out in minutes.
No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze, and the State Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause.
