Beverly Eloise Kahn went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening February 19, 2023.
She was 95, just a few weeks shy of 96. She was healthy and active right up to a few days before and then passed peacefully in her sleep just as the Lord told her she would.
Beverly was a true inspiration of love and God’s blessing to many in her life. She was known as a “prayer warrior” and her prayers were a blessing and support to her friends and family.
Beverly was married to the love of her life, the late William (Bill) Kahn for almost 70 years.
Beverly was survived by 4 beautiful daughters Beverly (Hank) Webster, Bonnie (Daniel) Nicholls, Barbara (Bill) West. Nancy (Marc) Sharfman. Beverly cherished her 6 grandchildren Matthew(Bridgett), Lance (Lucy), Rochelle (Peter), Danielle (Asif), David (Krystal), Brittany (Steven) and she adored her 8 great-grandchildren Savannah, Cali, Jacob, Stella, Lilly, Ari, Asher and Charlotte.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee Beverly later moved to Chicago with her parents where she met Bill in Chemistry class at college.
A few years after getting married, Beverly and Bill moved to Sarasota, Florida where they raised their children. They both went back to college to get their degrees in their 40’s and Beverly graduated from University of South Florida with a degree in Elementary Education. Career opportunities then brought them to the Orlando area.
Beverly enjoyed working with her husband, Bill in various businesses they had together. Among them were several restaurants, gas station, hotels, a travel agency, and a non-profit business called United Dental Charities. They were always active in church and shared their testimonies with everyone they met. They volunteered
many hours feeding the homeless and ministering at Crossroads Coffee House in Orlando.
Beverly and Bill loved to fish and owned many boats. They spent many summers in the Florida Keys. They also enjoyed traveling and visited over 88 countries … such as Israel, South Korea, India, Costa Rica, Greece, just to name a few.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Youth ministry at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Bell, Fl.
Beverly will be greatly missed by her family and many friends, but we know we will see her again soon in Heaven.
A visitation for Beverly will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734 with funeral services to begin at 3:00 PM.
