A cooking area near a clubhouse in Apopka was destroyed after it caught fire on Thursday afternoon.
Units from the Seminole County Fire Department and Orange County Fire Rescue responded to 3424 Holiday Avenue in Apopka, near Bear Lake, on Thursday, March 2, at around 3:56 p.m. after receiving calls regarding a fire.
Upon arrival, crews worked to subdue flames on an older kitchen/cooking area near a recreation clubhouse that had caught fire.
The fire, which was fully involved when units arrived, was contained to the area and kept away from the main recreation building.
Authorities say that there were no people in the structure at the time of the fire and that no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
