On Friday February 17th Patricia ‘Pat’ Beresheim passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Superior, Wisconsin to Donald and Jessie and was raised there along with her two brothers. Pat attended Cardinal Stritch University where she received her degree in education and began her career as a teacher.
Pat married Joe in ‘67. They started their family in Pine Hills, where they raised four children. She loved motherhood and joys and bustle that came with caring for her three sons and daughter. She was an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church where she later taught 4th grade at church’s school.
Pat had a zest for life. She loved traveling, reading, music, sewing/quilting, watercolor painting, gardening, cooking, and working on jigsaw puzzles. But even more so than each of these, Pat treasured her friendships and cherished including her friends in her favorite things. She loved to share stories, especially those about her grandchildren, as well as swap ideas, recipes, and mementos with her friends throughout her entire life. She was a marvelous listener, who held dear the joys and challenges of others as if they were her own always offering support, encouragement, excitement, and love.
As a grandmother to twelve, from the moment they were born through birthdays, events, and milestones, to the remarkable moments found in conversations with each about everyday life, Pat’s heart overflowed with happiness, jubilation, and love.
She was an active member of St Margaret Mary church who participated in events throughout the years, and on Sundays enjoyed being part of the 8am coffee and donut team.
Pat was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her joy of life, unbounded optimism, and delightful laugh will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Jessie and her brother Donald. She is survived by her husband Joseph, four children Stephen, Katie, Thomas, Scott, 12 grandchildren, her brother Andrew, and nieces and nephews.
