Shirley Spires, 88, passed away on March 6, 2023, in Orlando, FL.

Shirley Spires was born on December 5, 1934 in Atlanta, GA to Elmer Cooper and Corrie McElveen.
Shirley graduated from Miami Senior High School in 1952 and attended the University of Miami for one year. She retired as a regional sales manager for Olan Mills Portrait Studios.

Shirley married George Spires on June 14, 1953 in Miami, FL. The couple had three children, Stephen Spires, of Ocala, Mark Spires, of Ft Myers, and Cheryl Boylan, of Orlando.

Shirley was best known for traveling, golf, bridge, poker, family get-togethers, and scrapbooking with her granddaughter.

Shirley is survived by Stephen Spires, son, and wife Anne, Kevin Boylan, son-in-law, Patricia Spires, daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephanie, Chelsea, and Travis.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband George, son Mark, and daughter Cheryl.

The service for Shirley Spires will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 12:00 PM at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church in Orlando.

Burial: Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
