Police are asking the public for help to locate a vehicle wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that left a 76-year-old Kissimmee man dead.

The fatal accident took place around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 21, near the intersection of Simpson Road and Simpson Ridge Circle in Osceola County.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Simpson Road, just south of Simpson Ridge Circle.

A pedestrian, identified as a 76-year-old man from Kissimmee, was walking in the southbound lane of Sampson Road, in the direct path of the vehicle.

As a result, the vehicle struck the pedestrian, throwing him into the outside grass shoulder. After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police say there were no reported witnesses to the crash that were at the scene. There is also no additional information available regarding the driver or the vehicle.
