Kristy Manis, 43 of Altamonte Springs, Florida left this world peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Advent Health in Altamonte Springs with her family by her side.
Kristy was born on February 29, 1980, which was a leap year, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Rick and Teresa Manis. Kristy was single.
Kristy has been a retail manager nearly all her working life. Her favorite company was The Sunglass Hut where she worked for the last ten years. She was known as a great store manager and people loved working for her. Most recently she managed the store at the new terminal at The Orlando International Airport.
Kristy had a strong faith in God, and credited Him for getting her through life’s difficulties. She was unique, quirky and funny. She loved Seinfeld, 80’s music, John Hughs’ movies, as well as Saved by the Bell and Lifetime stalker shows. She had a great sense of humor and was so much fun to be around. As a little girl, she always had her nose in a book, loved music and could always be heard singing. She loved all things Disney, as demonstrated by a very large collection of Minnie Mouse ears. She adored her family and friends, and had a special bond with her sister. We all loved hearing of her humorous antics, which would have made a great reality show or sitcom. She will be remembered with so much love.
Kristy is survived by her dad, Rick Manis and his wife Judi of Winter Garden, FL. Her sister, Brooke Amber and her husband Justin of Jacksonville, FL. Her nieces Nicolette and Ellie, and her nephew David.
