A 41-year-old woman from Kissimmee won $1 million from a scratch-off she purchased from a local convenience store.
On Monday, Florida Lottery officials announced that Racquel Maxey claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH DOUBLER scratch-off game. Maxey claimed the prize at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, choosing to receive the winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $685,000.
Maxey purchased the winning ticket from the 7-Eleven located at 4015 W Irlo Bronson Highway, near the Kissimmee Gateway Airport in Osceola County. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The $5 scratch-off series features more than $188 million in cash prizes, including 28 top prizes of $1 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.98.
