Sarah Ann McTeer

Sarah Ann McTeer, 81, of Kissimmee, FL passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Sarah was born July 6, 1941, in Red Bay, Alabama, the daughter of Percy and Lenora G. Boggs. She moved to Kissimmee, FL in 1978. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Married to her high school sweetheart of 60 years, she has 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandsons.
Sarah loved children and that love was shown not only to her family but also to all children. She worked at the First Baptist Church Child Development Center, where she served as a teacher and the Assistant Director. Even years after she retired from FBC CDC, when her former students would see her, they loving addressed her as Miss Sarah.

Sarah enjoyed many types of activities. She enjoyed making holiday meals for her family including cake decorating. Hiking is something she enjoyed doing when traveling to the mountains. Alongside her husband she would help build furniture and toys for their grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with some of her favorite trips being to Alaska and the Grand Canyon. She loved life and the people who knew her enjoyed her laughter, smile, and warmth.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband: Everett McTeer of Kissimmee, FL; their daughter, Beth McTeer of Brevard, NC; their son, Allen McTeer (Krista) of Eagle, Idaho; 7 Grandchildren: Kevin, Kayla, Quentin, Chris, Dominick, Grace, and Gabriel; and 3 grandsons: Rett, Ryder, and Beckett. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, eleven siblings, and her daughter, April.
We rejoice knowing that she has be reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.

Visitation will begin at 3:00pm followed by a Memorial Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee Chapel, 1700 John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, Florida 34741 with Pastor Tim Wilder officiating.
