Fire consumes unoccupied home in south Orlando

No injuries were reported after a fire tore through an unoccupied home in south Orlando on Wednesday.

Orange County Fire Rescue units were called to the scene of a house fire in the 1500 block of 38th Street on Wednesday, May 24 in the afternoon.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke from the rear of the structure. The fire was knocked down while crews checked for extensions and overhauling.

No injuries were reported and the State Fire Marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
