A man who was attempting to burglarize multiple vehicles and homes in an Orlando neighborhood was caught and arrested after several victims were alerted by their home surveillance video systems and contacted police.
On Wednesday, May 31, several victims called 911 at around 12:45 a.m. to report a suspect who was attempting to break into their vehicles and homes.
In home video surveillance, the suspect, who was identified as 28-year-old Joshua Coronado Torres, is seen walking around driveways and through back yards. In one video, Torres is seen using an unknown object to pick at the lock on the front of a door.
At another home, Torres tried using the same object to pick another lock before he was warned by a homeowner to get off his property and that police were on the way.
Orlando Police Department officers responded to the area of East Central Boulevard a short time later and were able to locate Torres.
Torres was taken to the Orange County Jail, where he faces multiple burglary charges.
