A 59-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly firing his gun into a Kissimmee bar and injuring a patron after he was asked to leave the establishment.
On Tuesday, June 6, Kissimmee Police Department officers arrested Brett Kevin Riddell in connection with the shooting incident that took place in Kissimmee over the weekend.
According to KPD, on Sunday, June 4, officers responded to a call in reference to a weapons violation at The Breeze Bar, which is located at 7 E. Dakin Avenue in Kissimmee.
During their investigation, police discovered a disturbance took place between a suspect and several other patrons.
The suspect was asked to leave the premise and, as he exited, he fired a single shot into the business, injuring one of the patrons.
That victim was transported to a local hospital, where they underwent emergency surgery and were in stable condition as of Tuesday morning.
Police were able to identify the suspect as Riddell and an arrest warrant was issued. He was taken into custody on Tuesday on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, using a firearm while intoxicated, and shooting into an occupied building.
