Pedestrian seriously injured in 5-car hit-and-run crash on Colonial Drive

Local law enforcement authorities are asking the public for help to locate an SUV wanted in connection with a multi-vehicle accident on Colonial Drive that seriously injured a pedestrian and a teenager.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Tuesday, June 13, near the intersection of Colonial Drive and Paul Street, at around 1:05 p.m.

Although details on the accident have not been provided, FHP says the crash involved five vehicles. The accident resulted in serious injuries to a 19-year-old Orlando woman, as well as to a 64-year-old woman from Tavares.

Police identified the vehicle that fled the scene as a white in color, Dodge Durango. The vehicle is believed to have damage to its front right, consistent with a scuff.
