Suspect used reusable bags to steal $500 in Walmart merchandise

The Sanford Police Department is asking the public for help to identify a woman who used reusable bags to conceal and steal over $500 in Walmart merchandise.

According to police, the woman featured in this story entered the Walmart located at 1601 Rinehart Road in Sanford on Monday, June 19, at approximately 11:15 a.m.

During her visit, the woman selected various pieces of merchandise with a total value of approximately $500. The woman placed the items inside of reusable bags in her cart.

Police say the woman then walked out of the front of the store without attempting to pay, bypassing all points of sale and exiting the building.
