First manmade 8-acre lagoon, 20-acre beach debut at Orlando resort

A new Orlando resort has finished construction of its artificial, 8-acre lagoon and 20-acre beach, which it plans to open later this year.

Evermore Orlando Resort has completed construction of its new, artificial beach, Evermore Bay, according to company officials. The new bay is part of the 1,100-acre resort complex located at 1 North Jacaranda, within close proximity to Walt Disney World.

The property, which replaces the former Villas of Grand Cypress Golf Resort, is currently under construction and will offer a variety of one-of-a-kind amenities, including the first manmade beach in Orlando.

Evermore Bay encompasses 20 acres of beach line and 8 acres of crystalline water created by Crystal Lagoons, a Miami-based company. The beach areas will feature zero entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private fire-pits, as well as an aquatic adventure area equipped with a waterslide, rope swing, and watersports.

The entire resort complex will feature nearly 1,500 bedrooms focused around the Conrad Orlando, which is a 433-room luxury facility. Rooms will be available for rent in a variety of arrangements, including 69 houses ranging in size from five to eleven bedrooms, 206 four-bedroom flats, and 41 two and four-bedroom villas.

The resorts began accepting reservations earlier this year, with a projected grand opening set for December, according to the company.
