Enzian Theater is hosting a free showing of E.T The Extra-Terrestrial as part of its Summer Kidsfest this week.
The movie will play on Thursday, July 20 at 11:30 a.m. at the theater, which is located at 1300 Orlando Avenue in Maitland.
The film follows the adventures of a gentle alien who becomes stranded on Earth and is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott. Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister, Gertie, and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien.
