Richard Lee Plessinger Jr., 66 of Orlando, Florida, went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2023, after a decade-long battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Linda of 36 years, his daughters Samantha (David) Watson and Angel (Tony) Feliciano, and grandchildren: Dominic, Phebe, Penelope, and Finn. He is also survived by his mother, Clair Plessinger, siblings: Kim (Greg) Reffitt, Gary (Becky) Plessinger, and Scott (Angie) Plessinger, and many nieces and nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Plessinger Sr.
Richard, better known as Rick, was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 11, 1957, to Clair and Richard Plessinger Sr. He graduated from Talawanda High School in 1975. He spent the majority of his career supporting and managing his parents companies: Miami Valley Radio Telephone, Beep Alert (Kentucky, Indiana, Columbus, Cincinnati), Radio Stations: WJOJ (Milford, OH), WCVG (Covington, KY), WAXZ/WAOL (Georgetown, OH), WOYS/WOCY/WOYY (Apalachicola, FL). Rick eventually branched out into real estate for the latter part of his career in Eastpoint, Florida.
While work was a passion for Rick, his family was his greatest joy. His favorite times were spent with his wife and grandchildren. He loved traveling, camping, and riding bicycles with Linda, Dominic and Phebe and spending time with his little artist, Penelope, and his little “worker man”, Finn.
There will be a Memorial Service held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God (Stephens Chapel), 9307 Curry Ford Rd. in Orlando.
