Electronics, clothing waste sought for Orlando recycling event

Anyone looking to safely and properly recycle electronics and textiles is invited to do so at Orlando Festival Park this weekend.

The recycling event will take place on Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Orlando Festival Park, which is located at 2911 East Robinson Street in Orlando.

Electronic items accepted include computer monitors, televisions (one per household), telephones, cell phones, telephone systems, fax machines, central office equipment, rechargeable batteries, electronic circuit boards and components, stereo equipment, games, PDA’s, and printers.

The list of acceptable textiles includes clothes, shoes, home textiles (towels, sheets, curtains, etc.), and stuffed toys.
