Abner James Fitzgerald Bourne

Abner James Fitzgerald Bourne was born in New Amsterdam, Berbice in Guyana, South America on January 20, 1931 to parents Abner George Bourne and Rachael Robertson.
He grew up in the Cumberland area. He later moved to McKenzie where he met and married Mildred Younge. To this union were born 7 children one of whom was a still born.

James was a very good electrician by trade and was employed by the Demerara Bauxite Company for over 35 years when he retired.
He was a member of Gray’s Dramatic Group, an arm of the Anglican Church and was a member of Mechanic’s Pride Lodge #21 for many years.

James migrated to the USA in 1997 and lived with his daughter Barbara Johnson. James went home to be with his Lord on Monday, August 7, 2023.

Celebrating his Life are his wife Mildred Bourne: daughters Audrey Odediran, Barbara Johnson, Jacqueline Bourne and Simone Mitchell. Sons; Lester Bourne, Michael Bourne, and Robert, grandchildren; Taiwo, Joshua, Shawn, Curtis, Lestra, Natasha, Shyon, Jason, Nilaja, Eumani, Shaquille, Ayobami, Ezra, Esther, Quacy, Seavone, DeAnde, Rachel, Paul and Ted. Great grandchildren; Devaughn, Jusiyah, Jahzekiel, Nylae, Ariel, Ashton, Justice, Eden, Samuel, Shauntel, Tiffana, Esai, Liesann, Farida, Jason Jr. and D’Leh. Great great grandchildren; Serenity and Mia

He is also survived by his sisters; Claudette, Lucille, Lyra and Yvonne, his brothers; George, Godfrey, Ancel and Rodwell. Brothers in law Leslie and Martin, h sisters in law Claudette and Eula. Also Several nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and special friend Panaki Edwards and members of Mechanics Pride Lodge #21.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 895 S. Goldenrod Road, in Orlando.
