A church in Altamonte Springs was filled with smoke after a window AC unit caught fire.
Seminole County Fire Department responded to the Apostolic Church located at 444 Ford Drive in Altamonte Springs on Monday, August 14, at around 8:11 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews determined that a window air conditioning unit had caught fire. The resulting smoke had spread throughout the structure, according to fire officials.
Crews were able to ventilate the structure and began monitoring for air quality shortly thereafter.
There was no extension of the fire beyond the AC unit, and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
