Rubén Blades in downtown Orlando this weekend

A multi-Grammy award-winning Latin American music icon will take the stage in downtown Orlando this weekend.

Rubén Blades will bring his Salswing Tour to the Amway Center (400 W. Church Street) on Sunday, August 20, at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the event.

Blades is known for his classic Afro-Cuban salsa touched with rock, jazz, pan-Latin, and worldwide influences. He has collaborated with rock, jazz, pop, hip-hop, reggaeton, and salsa artists from around the world and has composed hundreds of songs and dozens of hits.

Blades has also appeared across the big and silver screens in over a dozen movies and television shows. During his fifty-plus-year career, he’s has won several Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, including album and person of the year.
