Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating two armed robberies that took place at a Pizza Hut and Circle K in Deltona this weekend.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the first case was reported on Friday, August 18, at around 10:30 p.m. outside of the Pizza Hut located 1894 Providence Boulevard.
An employee was sitting in her vehicle when she was approached by an armed suspect who demanded money at gunpoint.
The victim described the suspect as a thin black male between the ages of 20 and 30. The man was wearing a black hoodie or jacket with his face covered by a black shirt or bandana.
The second incident was reported on Sunday, August 20, at around 3:30 am. at the Circle K gas station located at 1805 Elkcam Boulevard.
In that incident, a clerk reported a black male suspect wearing a Scream mask and all black clothing robbed him at gunpoint.
There were no injuries reported as a result of either incident. In both cases, the victims told police that the suspect was armed with a rifle.
