Ruben Donnell Miller

Ruben Donnell Miller, 37, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Ruben, affectionately known as ‘Donnie’, was born in West Palm Beach, FL on January 27, 1986 to James Miller and the late Shirley Smith. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School and soon after entered into the workforce. At the time of his demise he was employed with McLane Warehouse Company, Inc.

For Donnie, sports and mentoring was a way of life. Ruben was a coach for many years and known all over Orlando and the Central Florida area. He coached and trained young men within various city leagues. He loved football, basketball and playing Madden games. He was an extraordinary and giving father, brother, son and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Ruben leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Ja’Maria Miller; father, James (Aminata) Miller; 6 siblings, Christopher McClurge, DeShawn McClurge, Alvertis McClurge, Nicolas McCallum, Miller, Deloris Miller; loving companion, Johnisha Kates; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the mortuary.

A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Shannon Miller, officiating.
