The city of Orlando will celebrate the opening of a new dominoes-themed exhibit this week in recognition of Hispanic Heritage month, which takes place from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
On Tuesday, September 19, Orange County officials will gather at 5 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the new Hispanic Heritage Art Exhibit at Orlando City which is located at 400 South Orange Avenue.
The exhibit highlights the roles of art and the sport of dominoes within Hispanic culture. It features a variety of historical and worldwide dominoes, as well as a selection of unique, custom, and handmade pieces. The exhibit will also feature art work from local visual artists who created pieces to honor the family sport.
Hors d’oeuvres will be provided at the event.
