Neil Siller

Neil Siller, a pioneer in the optical industry and a beacon of generosity, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, Neil started an optical company that reached clients across the globe. Together, with his loving wife, Doris, they turned this venture into a successful family business that remained a pillar in the industry for over 30 years. Rooted in their love for their family, they operated their business from their home, to ensure they never missed out on life’s most precious moments.

Neil’s zest for life is what truly defined him. He was a craftsman at heart, with a love for building model cars and boats. His woodworking masterpieces became cherished gifts for his beloved grandchildren.

Neil has granted his family beautiful memories, including singing and dancing to his favorite music, crabbing and digging for mussels, hosting family dinners (his salads and homemade dressings were a work of art) and poker nights, working on projects with him, and of course, test driving his incredible collection of cars over the years.

Neil’s wit was unparalleled. He would light up a room with his humor, ensuring that laughter echoed wherever he went and that his family and friends would be grinning from ear to ear.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris, his children: Eileen and Barry, Alan and Michelle, Michele and Jim, and Stacy and Mike, his grandchildren: Danielle, Eric, Cheyenne, Jimmy, Brandon, Brad, Erin, Jessica, Andrew, Joseph, Julianna, Sam, Andrew, and Alison.
