$863 worth of Lego sets stolen from local Target, police trying to identify suspect

The Sanford Police Department is asking the public for help to identify a man who is accused of stealing over $800 worth of Lego sets from a local Target.

According to SPD, the man featured in this story was seen entering the Target located at 1201 WP Ball Boulevard on August 14, 2023.

After the man returned two storage totes, he walked to the Lego aisle and selected approximately 15 Lego sets. Later, during his visit, he placed two pillows in the shopping cart as well.

The man then went to the self-checkout lanes and scanned the two pillows. The man also scanned one of the Lego sets multiple times, but failed to scan multiple other sets.

In total, the unscanned Lego sets had a value of approximately $862.85, according to police. The man left then left the store without paying.
