Suspect who showed penis to middle schooler wanted for attempted kidnapping

Law enforcement authorities are asking the public for help to locate a Sanford man who is accused of exposing his penis to a group of middle school students before trying to kidnap one of them.

On Friday, September 22, Sanford Police Department officers responded to the area of 5th Street and Avocado Avenue in reference to man exposing his sexual organs to a group of children.

According to police, three juvenile, female students were walking to their school bus when they saw a man, later identified as 23-year-old Jerral Ugene Wynn, standing by a tree while “exposing and touching his penis.”

The three girls began walking away from the area when Wynn allegedly began following them and grabbed one of the girls’ backpacks. The juvenile victim whose backpack Wynn grabbed had to remove the backpack in order to run from Wynn’s grasp, according to police.

The girls were able to run from the area and notify their parents about the incident.

During their investigation, police determined that there may have been previous encounters with Wynn that occurred in the area and went unreported.

A warrant has been issued for Wynn for lewd and lascivious behavior on a person under 13, and attempted kidnapping.

Anyone with information about these incidents or the location of Jerral Ugene Wynn is asked to contact the Sanford Police Department at 407-688-5070, or the Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
