Suspect sought in hit-and-run that killed pedestrian

Law enforcement authorities are trying to identify and locate a man who is wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian.

On Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol released photos of the suspect and a sport utility vehicle that were involved in the fatal accident on Monday, October 30.

During that incident, a pedestrian who was walking south on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway was struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on the highway.

The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified by the medical examiner’s office, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

After the accident, a witness who observed the crash was able to capture a photo of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian.

The witness advised that the suspect turned into a gas station after the crash.

Investigators were able to obtain video that shows the suspect as he entered a gas station.

Police say the suspect vehicle should have minor damage to its front right. Currently, there are no additional details available regarding the suspect or the vehicle.
