Funny Girl musical taking residence at Dr. Phillips Center

Funny Girl will take up residence at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts this week.

Multiple showings are scheduled for the musical from December 5 through December 10, with show times at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8 p.m. The show is part of the 23/24 Broadway season at the venue, which is located at 445 S Magnolia Avenue in downtown Orlando.

The play is a bittersweet comedy that tells the story of the indomitable Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreams of a life on stage. The Broadway revival features a bevy of classic songs, including “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star,” and “People.”
