Sugar Plum Fairy’s Winter Tale coming to downtown Orlando

Orlando Metropolitan Ballet will present The Sugar Plum Fairy’s Winter Tale, a two-act ballet set in the enchanting world of The Nutcracker, in downtown Orlando this week.

The Sugar Plum Fairy’s Winter Tale will take the stage at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (445 S Magnolia Avenue) on Friday, December 15, at 7 p.m.

The story begins with Clara’s gift of a nutcracker doll. As the clock strikes midnight, Clara embarks on a fantastical journey in a snow-covered kingdom, where her Nutcracker turns into a prince.

The elegant Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes them to her realm, and the ballet unfolds as the Land of Sweets comes alive with colorful performances representing various confections.
