Asian Lantern Festival coming to Central Florida Zoo

The Asian Lantern Festival will return to the Central Florida Zoo with a special visit from Santa.

The Asian Lantern Festival will take place on Saturday, December 16 and Wednesday, December 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, which is located at 3755 W. Seminole Blvd. in Sanford.

The exhibit will feature over 30 different, hand-constructed illuminated lantern displays around a 3/4-mile path.

In addition to admiring the art, beauty, and wonder of traditional Asian lantern festivals, guests will be able to visit with Santa Claus at the zoo’s Wayne M. Densch Discovery Center.
