Mary P. McNeil, 91, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Mary was born on July 29, 1932 in Notasulga, Alabama to the late Mattie and William Pitts. . Professionally, Mary was employed as a seamstress for several years.
Mary dedicated her life to providing for her family and serving the Lord. She was a faithful member of New Bethel AME Church, Orlando, where she served as a deaconess. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars. Mary enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for her family to follow. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter, Shirley Weaver; son, Aldo McNeil; 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel with P.E. Henry L. Postell, II, eulogist. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.
