Wilhelmenia Curry Watson

Wilhelmenia Curry Watson, 92, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Wilhelmenia was born on August 8, 1931 in Donovan, GA to the late Mollie and Frank Curry. Professionally, Wilhelmenia was employed as a custodial hostess with the Walt Disney Company for several years.

Wilhelmenia dedicated her life to providing for her family and serving the Lord. She was a faithful member of New Bethel AME Church, Orlando for over 50 years. She served on many committees and boards over the span of 5 decades, but mainly she served as an usher. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for her family to follow. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her sons, Johnnie (Pam) Watson, Jr., Randy L. (Beverly) Watson, Clayborne L. Watson; daughter, Deloris Walker; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Columbia Street, Orlando with Pastor Wendell Webster, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.
