Bryan Adams and Eurythmics Songbook, featuring Dave Stewart, will perform at the Kia Center this week.
The performance will take place on Friday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m. at the Kia Center, which is located at 400 W. Church Street.
A musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and photographer, Adams has sold more than 100 million records and singles worldwide, placing him on the list of best-selling music artists.
At age 15, Adams became the lead singer of the glam rock band Sweeney Todd. He later rose to fame in North America with the singles “Straight From the Heart” (1983), “Run to You” (1984), and “Summer of ’69” (1984).
Released in 1991, Adams’ Waking Up the Neighbors album reached number one worldwide and sold 16 million copies. Two years later, his greatest hits compilation album, So Far So Good, topped the charts in numerous countries, selling 13 million copies worldwide and going platinum five times in the U.S.
Adams is ranked 48th on the list of all-time top artists on the Billboard Hot 100 and has won 20 Juno Awards and a Grammy Award. He has been inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Canada’s Walk of Fame, the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and he has received the Governor General’s Awards in Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement for his 30 years of contributions to the arts.
