The Apopka Police Department is looking for a “vehicle of interest” that may have been involved in a shooting that wounded a man on Saturday, March 9.

According to police, the shooting occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Myrtle Street and Lake Avenue in Apopka. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 33-year-old man inside a vehicle who had sustained gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. His name was not released by police.

APD launched an investigation into the shooting and stated that the incident appears to be “isolated.”

On Thursday, March 14, Apopka police released a photo of a “vehicle of interest” that was near the incident location at the time of the shooting.

The Apopka Police Department is actively seeking any information related to this vehicle and anyone known to be associated with it. “The community’s assistance is crucial in helping (us) bring those responsible to justice and ensuring the safety of our community,” stated APD.
