A 44-year-old man from Orlando was killed on Saturday night after his motorcycle veered off the roadway and struck a tree in Orange County.
At around 9:55 p.m., the man was traveling southbound on Conway Road, to the north of the McCoy Road intersection, on a 2017 Suzuki GSX, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
A trooper noted in the report that the man failed to negotiate a curve, which resulted in the motorcycle running off the roadway and into the median.
Moments later, the motorcycle crashed into a tree.
The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His name was not released by FHP.
The report stated that it is unknown if the man was wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
