A 19-year-old man and 16-year-old boy have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of an Orlando man in March.
The fatal shooting occurred in the early morning hours on Thursday, March 21, in the 4400 block of Watch Hill Road in Orlando. According to the Orlando Police Department, officers responded to the area after receiving reports of shots being fired.
When officers arrived on scene, they found an adult male victim, identified as 50-year-old Robert George Bowen, in the driveway of his residence. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and officers administered aid until the Orlando Fire Department arrived on scene.
Bowen was then transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
OPD launched an investigation into the fatal shooting. Two months later, on Tuesday, May 21, the police department announced on social media that detectives have identified two murder suspects in this case.
Those suspects are 19-year-old Kendrion Tashawn Dow and 16-year-old Justin Copeland.
The police department stated that Dow is currently being held at Orange County Jail for unrelated firearm offenses, and Copeland was apprehended by U.S. Marshals.
Both suspects have been charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, fraudulent use of credit cards, and unlawful possession of stolen credit/debit cards in connection with the shooting death of Robert George Bowen.
No further details were provided by Orlando police regarding the case or what led them to identifying Dow and Copeland as murder suspects.
