Kissimmee police officer accused of soliciting minor for nude photos

A Kissimmee Police Department officer has been arrested after he allegedly solicited a minor for nude photographs in exchange for payment.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office stated that it was notified earlier this month by the 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office of an incident involving 25-year-old KPD Officer Dariel Javier Quiles-Davila.

Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children unit were notified of the incident and launched an investigation into the allegations against Quiles-Davila.

According to OCSO, detectives met with the victim in this case and obtained a statement and evidence, which led to Quiles-Davila being identified as a suspect.

During the interview with the victim, detectives learned that Quiles-Davila had met the victim while on a call for service in October of 2023. Based on “evidence and disclosures made,” several search warrants were obtained for social media accounts belonging to Quiles-Davila and the victim.

The sheriff’s office stated that detectives reviewed the social media accounts, which revealed that Quiles-Davila allegedly had “pornographic photographs of the minor.” In addition, detectives found evidence of “payments and sexual conversations with the minor” on Quiles-Davila’s social media account.

On Tuesday, June 11, Quiles-Davila was interviewed by detectives regarding the incident.

Quiles-Davila was subsequently arrested and transported to Osceola County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond. He is being charged with possession of photo/video of sexual performance by a child (eight counts), solicitation of a minor for unlawful sexual conduct (one count), and unlawful use of a two-way communication device (one count).

If anyone has information related to this case or any other similar incidents, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office asks that you call 407-348-2222.
