Francis Marti

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Marti, who passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, on March 11, 1935, Francis moved to New York with her family at the tender age of four, where she would later meet the love of her life, José Luis Marti. They were married on April 30, 1955, and together they raised two children, José and Martha.

Francis dedicated 30 years of her professional life to the world of beauty, working as a cosmetologist for Max Factor, a career that would eventually see her transition to Procter & Gamble. Her artistry and expertise left a lasting impact on those who knew her, and she was beloved by her colleagues and clients alike.

In addition to her career, Francis also worked across four U.S. Naval bases in Puerto Rico, providing her with a unique opportunity to serve her community and country.

Francis was an adventurer at heart. She traveled extensively, exploring the far reaches of the globe. True to her final wish, she will not be flown, but will be laid to rest in Orlando, Florida.

She is survived by her son José, daughter Martha, her five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love, strength, and grace.

Her memory will be cherished, and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
