A multi-agency operation recently led to the arrest of 28 men, nearly four months after a confrontation between rival biker gangs erupted into gunfire outside a gas station in Volusia County.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, a joint operation between VCSO, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Seventh Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office – dubbed “Operation Mongolian Beef” – led to the arrest of 28 members of the Mongols biker gang. In addition, warrants have been issued for three additional members of the same gang, and their arrests still pending.
Below is a list of the Mongols biker gang members who have been charged with aggravated rioting in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 8, 2025, at a gas station in New Smyrna Beach during Bike Week:

According to Florida Statutes, the charge of aggravated rioting is when a person participates in a riot of 25 or more individuals. It is a second-degree felony and is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
The incident on March 8, 2025, allegedly involved two rival motorcycle gangs: the Mongols and Warlocks. During the shootout that ensued during their altercation, two victims were struck by gunfire.
No further details were provided regarding the identity of the victims or if any bystanders were hurt.
VCSO stated that over a dozen search warrants were recently executed at the following locations: the Mongols Clubhouse in Edgewater, four homes in Volusia County, three homes in Brevard County, two homes in Miami-Dade County, one home in Palm Beach County, two homes in Polk County, and one home in Chesterfield County (Virginia).
The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be added, according to VCSO.
Additional agencies that took part in “Operation Mongolian Beef” include the FBI field offices in Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, Richmond, Newark, Columbia, and Charlotte; Homeland Security Investigations; U.S Marshals; FBI Safe Streets Task Force; and over a dozen sheriff’s offices and police departments across the state of Florida.
