A 33-year-old former employee at an Orlando middle school, who pleaded guilty to maintaining an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old student, has received a lengthy prison sentence.

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron sentenced Terrell Myron Foy to 14 years in federal prison for attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Foy pleaded guilty to the charge in April.

According to court records, Foy developed a romantic relationship with a 13-year-old student in December of 2023, while he was employed at Blankner School (2500 S Mills Avenue in Orlando).

The Orlando Police Department launched an investigation after its Special Victims Unit received an anonymous tip about an authority figure at Blankner School, identified as Foy, who was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a student who attended the school.

During their investigation, Orlando police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation obtained warrants for Foy’s home, cellphone, and multiple social media accounts that were used by him and the student.

The investigation revealed hundreds of messages that were exchanged between Foy and the student. In those messages, Foy enticed the student to engage in sexual activity while instructing the student to avoid speaking with law enforcement.

Foy also bought the student gifts and arranged “meet ups” with the student, both on the campus and off school grounds.

In January of 2024, Foy was placed under arrest and booked into Orange County Jail. In a statement, the principal at Blankner School advised that Foy had been terminated from his position.

After being sentenced on August 28, 2025, Foy was ordered by the court to forfeit his cellphone, which was “involved in the charged conduct.”

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Orlando Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Sartoian.
