A cyber tip recently led to the arrest of a 36-year-old Kissimmee man after files depicting the sexual abuse of children were allegedly found on his electronic devices.
Earlier this month, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual was “sharing and storing child sexual abuse material and chatting online about their desire to sexually abuse children.”
OCSO’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit launched an investigation, and detectives soon identified Cody Don Breedlove as the suspect in this case.
On Tuesday, September 9, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Breedlove’s residence located at Camden Town Square Apartments in Kissimmee. Officers made contact with Breedlove, and he was taken into custody.
While searching Breedlove’s residence, investigators seized several electronic devices belonging to him.
“Based on the investigation, (Breedlove) was charged with one count of possession of a photo/video of a sexual performance by a child and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device,” said OCSO in a social media post.
Breedlove was placed under arrest and booked into Osceola County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
The investigation into this case remains ongoing, according to OCSO.
