Music icon Barry Manilow is postponing his final Orlando show due to a recent lung cancer diagnosis.
“As many of you know I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis followed by a relapse of another five weeks,” said Manilow in a statement. ” Even though I was over the bronchitis and back on stage at the Westgate Las Vegas, my wonderful doctor ordered an MRI just to make sure that everything was OK.”
Manilow further stated that the MRI revealed a cancerous spot on his left lung that needs to be removed. “It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news.”
According to Manilow, he will be heading into surgery to have the cancerous spot removed, and his doctors do not believe that it has spread.
“So, that’s it. No chemo. No radiation. Just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns,” said Manilow.
The upcoming Orlando concert, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 7, 2026, will now take place at the Kia Center (400 W Church Street) on Friday, March 13, 2026. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
The Kia Center states that all tickets that were previously purchased for Manilow’s concert are valid and will be honored for the rescheduled event.
An American singer, songwriter, and producer, Manilow is best known for a string of pop hits released in the 1970s and ‘80s, including “Mandy,” “Copacabana,” and “Can’t Smile Without You.”
Over the course of Manilow’s career, which has spanned over five decades, the singer has sold more than 85 million albums worldwide and earned numerous awards.
At the age of 82, Manilow is still entertaining fans with his theatrical style and timeless ballads.
Tickets for Manilow’s final Orlando concert are still available, starting at $38.
