Captain William Edward Schesser II, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Salina, Kansas on May 14, 1960, to William and Grace Schesser. He is survived by his wife, Mery Schesser; his children, William “Trey” Schesser III, Christopher David Schesser, Alexander Bannon Schesser, Michael Thomas Schesser and Natalia Grace Schesser; and his siblings, Diane Burnison (Howard) and Melinda Estes (Ted).

Graduated from WSU in 1985 with a BS and commissioned into US Army as a missile maintenance officer. Graduated from the US Army Airborne School at Ft Benning GA followed by the US Army Explosive Disposal program at Indian Head Naval ordnance Station. Commanded the 48th EOD Detachment, Ft Jackson SC and the White Sands Missile Range EOD. Where he led multiple Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams responsible for Nuclear, chemical and explosive hazards, throughout the Continental United States as well as supporting the FBI, ATF and the USSS providing EOD protection to the President, Vice President their families and foreign dignitaries.

He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
