Maximo “Max” Cesar Osorio, a devoted family man and cherished patriarch, passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born in the vibrant coastal city of Barranquilla, Colombia, in 1942, Max carried the warmth, rhythm, and joy of his homeland with him throughout his entire life. In 1970, fueled by a dream and an unwavering work ethic, he moved to the United States to build a new foundation. Later that year, he brought his family over to join him, successfully planting deep roots and creating a beautiful, lasting legacy.
Max’s life was defined by his fierce dedication to his loved ones. He was the bedrock of his family, known for his resilience, his guiding wisdom, and the quiet pride he took in watching his children and grandchildren thrive.
Family Legacy: Max’s love and memory will be forever carried forward by his large and adoring family. He is survived by his Beloved Wife: Sonia Marbel Osorio de Maiguel, with whom he shared 63 beautiful years of marriage, partnership, and unconditional love. His Children: daughter Estela Gomez and her husband, Al. Son Lacides Osorio and his wife, Yidi. Daughter Sonia Cox and her husband, Robert. His Legacy: 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to his later years.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” Max’s spirit lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the stories shared around the family table, and the enduring strength of the family he built.
